PASSIONS IN COUNSELING PRACTICE: I love supporting people in processing their stories and relationships, and coming into a deeper understanding of their attachment experiences, their desires, and who they wish to become. I am passionate about encouraging people to find their voice when their experiences have taught them to please others, or survive in silence. The process is richest, when I get to spur a client into increasing kindness---journeying with them as they learn how to truly be present with themselves, their past, present, and future, and how they can engage their own heart, and the heart of others with tenderness and gratitude. In its simplest terms, my practice is about drawing people deeper into their own hearts so they can be more fully connected to the ones who matter most--sons and daughters, spouses and parents, friends and families. WORK BACKGROUND: Over the past 15 years, I have had the honor to work with individuals, couples, and families in settings ranging from an inpatient hospital, crisis outreach, to private practice and group collaborations. I have worked in Seattle, WA, Seoul, South Korea, and now am happily settled in practicing here in my hometown Denver, CO. I currently see clients in my private practice, as well as supervising clinicians and co-directing the PASS Center.
